Introducing the new Modern line of Ironing centers from Iron-A-Way and Premier Storage.
The Modern version features a brand-new look with more storage space. The electrical panel is now more compact, adding additional space. This allows for full-length shelves to store more of your ironing products and accessories.
The Modern version still has important features like our previous models. This includes an electrical outlet to plug your iron into, lighted on/off switch and a safety disconnect switch. It still offers a convenient adjustable swivel board or fixed position board. Both continue to be offered in 46 inches and 42-inch lengths.
Providing flexibility in installation and use, the model MAE-42 built-in ironing center combines the freedom of an adjustable swivel ironing board with the convenience of premium electrical features. The spring-activated adjustable swivel pivots the ironing board 90 degrees left or right for a full 180-degree turn, with five locking positions. Choose from one of two adjustment positions to find the perfect ironing board height. It’s 42-inch ventilated metal ironing board creates an evenly heated surface, perfect for steaming out those tough wrinkles. Electrical features include a safety disconnect which allows the iron to remain plugged in at all times, ready for the next use. Safely set the iron aside while adjusting or reaching for a new garment with the hot iron rest feature. When finished, the iron can be stored hot inside the premium hot iron storage area, designed to fit most modern irons on the market today. Door style is a Flat Maple Veneer, ready to be painted or stained. With these features and more, it is easy to see why the MAE-42 is one of our most requested models! Cabinet interior is pre-finished in a cool grey and the exterior is unfinished, ready to be painted or stained.
Ventilated Metal Board
Our metal ventilated board differentiates itself from the earlier wooden ironing boards. The traditional built-in wooden board only needed to be hard for the dry irons of the day. Today’s advanced steam irons are designed to project bursts of steam to penetrate deep into the fabric. This allows for removing wrinkles with less effort. Yet, using them on a wooden ironing board caused a build-up of condensation on the board and hot spots when ironing. Our metal ventilated board allows steam to pass through the fabric keeping the surface dryer and providing a more even-heated ironing surface.
Hot Iron Rest
No place to leave your iron when moving or turning your garment? Place the iron in this handy heat resistant iron rest. This allows for more useable space on the ironing board while making your garment adjustments. This features is standard on all models, excluding the IAW-42.
Hot Iron Storage
Not only is it convenient to store your iron inside the unit, but the location keeps the iron out of children’s reach. There’s no reason to let your iron cool down, the insulated heat shield allows for immediate shelving. The hot iron storage area provides a shelf that is 7 1/2″ wide, 12 1/2″ high, and 4 3/8″ deep on the right side of the top shelf for storing your iron. The hot iron storage area has been designed to accept the majority of steam/dry irons available at retail, including many premium models.
Storage Shelves
Storage is not a problem with our ironing centers! All models will include an additional storage shelf, our 60″ wood cabinets include two storage shelves. Keep all your ironing aids in one handy location!
Garment Bar
The garment bar is helpful when you have more than just a few garments to iron. The garment bar can hold multiple clothes hangers, making it more convenient to perform continuous ironing.
